I started with triathlon when I was in college in 1994. I made progression, year by year and in 2002 I did my first full distance. Since then I have finished almost 30 IM's and about the same amount of 70.3's. From 2006 till 2014 I raced as a professional. I won Ironman Arizona in 2008 and qualified 5x for Hawaii. My best result is a 9th spot in 2010. My fastest Ironman race is Ironman Austria in 8:56:12. Since I'm retired I started with coaching athletes. I love to share my experience and inspire/motivate fellow triathletes. For me the key is to make a program for an individual athlete which fits their potential and daily lifestyle. This can be a challenge and quite a puzzle, but that's just what I love to do.
Triathlon is my passion. I believe that anything is possible as long as you set your mind to it. The way I coach is authentic, with passion, sharing my knowledge and experience and listening to the athlete. Good communication is key. The athlete as a person comes first. This means that the training and goals of the athlete has to be balanced with the personal life and work of the athlete. This can be quite a puzzle, but for me the coaching is successful if the athlete is happy and healthy. www.yourtriathlonandlifestylecoach.com
