I started in the sport of triathlon in 2015 as physiotherapy for a debilitating form of arthritis. I will never be fast, but I love the sport and I have been competing ever since. I enjoy helping others to succeed no matter what their ability is.
I truly believe that if you really want to do something, you will find a way to overcome whatever physical and mental limitations you have. You just need to want it badly enough to keep going. Even when it seems impossible.

Over the last 10 years I have completed triathlons from a Try-a-tri to a full Ironman in Taupo March 2012. I have also competed at Tarawera for the 21k as well as the 50k events. As well as multiple swimming and running races.
After I completed Ironman New Zealand, I was injured training for a race and unable to compete. So, I decided I wanted to help others starting out. I have since helped coach ladies for many triathlons and other races including Tarawera. I am now the head coach at Twisted Sisters Club. The first woman's only triathlon club in New Zealand. I teach beginners to swim in the sea and help lead group rides and take pool sessions during the winter. We have a wide range of abilities from those starting out, to some training for 70.3 and full Ironman distances.
